COMMISSIONS

If you would like to commission your heraldic banner or heraldic standard please feel free to contact the artist by email at svilena.mateeva@gmail.com by sending an image of your coat of arms or any artwork you would like to be reproduced on a flag. The steps below show the usual process:

1. The artist will send you a quotation with the price dependent on the complexity of the design, the size of the flag, the materials used and the method of production, fully hand painted or partially appliquéd and hand painted.

Each price is individual however below you can see a guideline with the price range of the most common flag types and sizes:

Heraldic Standard 48" x 16"(122cm x 41cm), double thickness £750 - £1600

Heraldic Pennon 48" x 16"(122cm x 41cm), single thickness £550 - £950

Heraldic Banner 36" x 36"(91cm x 91cm), double thickness £400 - £1200

Heraldic Banner 36" x 36"(91cm x 91cm), single thickness £300 - £900

2. Once the price is accepted a 50% deposit is required before the work begins. After the payment is made the artist would digitally redraw the artwork in vector graphics, unless you already have it as a vector file which she’ll use. She will then send you an artwork proof with all the specifications of the banner and an image of the front and reverse side. A careful examination is required as well as a written approval to make sure that there is clarity about what has been agreed.

3. Once the approval is received the artist will proceed with the production. The lead time is usually 2-4 weeks, sometimes longer depending on the current level of commissions.

4. After your heraldic flag is finished it’ll be packed carefully and wished a fond farewell and posted to you on a tracked basis. You will then make the final payment.

5. After receiving your flag the artist would love to have feedback from you!
